Allen was born in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Purdue University, where he graduated with honors in political science. Allen then studied law at Vanderbilt Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1989.
Licensed to practice law in Tennessee in 1990, Allen is a member of the Tennessee Association for Justice. At Ponce Law, he focuses his legal practice on personal injury, workers’ compensation, and nursing home negligence and abuse.
When he’s not helping injured victims, Allen loves spending time with his six children, traveling, and physical fitness activities. He’s also on the advisory board for the YMCA and involved with Tennessee’s Democratic Party.
