In recent years, it was discovered that more than 70 million vehicles may contain defective airbag systems manufactured by Takata. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has just confirmed an eleventh death from a defective Takata airbag. The victim was a 50-year old female who sustained fatal injuries when the airbag in her vehicle ruptured upon inflation.
