  2. Expect to stop. With traffic flowing just feet from heavy machinery, you should expect to stop at any moment when driving through a construction zone. Leave enough space between you and the next vehicle just in case you have to slam on your brakes.
  3. Be patient. It seems obvious, but patience saves lives out on the road, especially in a construction zone. Those workers are making the roads better for all of us, so show them a little respect and be patient. The end result is always worth the inconvenience.
