MURFREESBORO, TN – A tractor-trailer hauling cattle was involved in a fatal crash in Rutherford County Friday night.
News Channel 5 reports the incident happened on Interstate 24 west between I-840 and Almaville Road at about 5:50 p.m.
The tractor-trailer collided with a passenger vehicle at the 72 mile marker, killing one person. It was not yet clear whether the victim was in the truck or the other vehicle. The accident led to a fire that was extinguished by Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue.
