CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN – Six people were hospitalized after a chain-reaction accident on a wet roadway in Cumberland County Friday afternoon, according to 1057 News.
State police said the crash happened during heavy rain on Interstate 40 west at the 330 mile marker. Six vehicles that were all going in the same direction were involved in the wreck. No details were immediately released on the severity of the injuries.
One of the drivers was charged with driving with no license or insurance.
There were heavy traffic delays on I-40 near the scene of the incident as well as backups on Highway 70 between Westel and Crab Orchard.
