WILSON COUNTY, TN – An accident involving a car and a tractor-trailer in Wilson County Sunday afternoon left one of the drivers hospitalized.
According to WSMV, the crash occurred at about 1:30 p.m. on Interstate 40 at mile marker 238. Authorities said 54-year-old Cathy Hamilton was driving a Nissan Altima when she tried to merge onto the highway. The back of her car came in contact with a Freight Liner TT, causing the truck to go off the roadway and overturn.
The driver of the truck, 38-year-old David Garza Sierra, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. Hamilton was not hurt after pulling off to the side of the road.
