Crash alert: Cumberland County crash injures teen

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN – A 17-year-old driver was injured in a car accident in Cumberland County Tuesday, 1057 News reported.

It happened on Highway 68 near Sawmill Road.  Authorities said the teen was driving a Nissan Maxima when it went off the road, hit a mailbox and then struck a culvert.  The vehicle went into the air before landing on its side.

The driver was hospitalized at Cumberland Medical Center with injuries that were described as non-life threatening.  The teen was wearing a seatbelt, troopers said.
