LA VERGNE, TN – Rescuers were able to extricate a driver following a crash in Rutherford County Tuesday, according to a tweet from La Vergne Police.

This is an update to a previous story.

The driver had become trapped after crashing into a tree on Jones Hill Road.  Police said the person was treated for non-life threatening injuries after being pulled from the vehicle. There was no immediate word on what led to the accident.
