Crash alert: Driver going wrong way hits SUV on I-40

NASHVILLE, TN – Two people were injured in a collision involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 40 in Nashville Tuesday morning, WSMV reported.

The driver was spotted going in the wrong direction on I-40 west near Exit 204B to White Bridge Pike before crashing into an SUV near the exit for Jefferson Street, according to the station’s report.

The driver was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.  There were two people inside the SUV. The driver was hospitalized with injuries that were not regarded as life-threatening, while the passenger was not hurt.
