NASHVILLE, TN – Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Nashville Friday night.
WKRN reports the 62-year-old victim was crossing Clarksville Pike near 26th Avenue North when he was hit by a pickup truck at about 10:20 p.m. Metro Police said he was struck after stopping along the center double lines to watch for outbound traffic.
The pedestrian, identified as 62-year-old Ronald T. Harvey, died from his injuries. Police are now trying to track down the vehicle that was involved. Investigators believe it was a silver Dodge Ram 1500 pickup that is missing or has a severely damaged headlight assembly on the driver’s side.
