Crash alert: Driver slams into steamroller in Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN – A woman is facing DUI charges following an accident in a Nashville construction zone early Friday morning, WKRN reported.

The incident happened shortly after midnight on Fesslers Lane near Calhoun Avenue in the downtown area. Police said 64-year-old Nellie Nelson crashed into some orange cones and a steamroller.

Nelson’s 8-year-old child was with her in the car at the time but was not hurt, police said.

The woman was arrested and charged with DUI with a child, and was later released on bond.
