Crash alert: East Nashville collision leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

NASHVILLE, TN – A collision between two vehicles at an intersection in East Nashville left a man dead and two children hurt, Fox 17 Nashville reported.

The accident happened at about 10:15 p.m. Thursday at Brick Church Pike and Trinity Lane. Investigators said 32-year-old Nathan Bray of Clinton, Kentucky was making a turn onto Trinity Lane when his vehicle was struck by an SUV as it went through the intersection.

Bray was pronounced dead at a hospital. A 2-year-old and a 4-year-old in his vehicle sustained minor injuries. The 19-year-old driver of the SUV and a passenger were hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening. The driver said he was not able to stop in time after the light turned yellow.

Metro Police are investigating the fatal wreck.
