Crash alert: Hit-and-run driver sought after pedestrian struck on Dickerson Pike

NASHVILLE, TN – Police are searching for the driver who struck a pedestrian in Nashville Friday night and then left the scene.

According to WSMV, 37-year-old Maurice Ferguson was hit by a car in the southbound lane of Dickerson Pike at about 9:30 p.m. Ferguson was standing outside of a crosswalk at the time, police said.

He was critically injured in the accident and transported to Skyline Medical Center. Investigators say the car involved in the incident fled the area. It was described as a 2006 to 2012 silver Chevrolet Impala.

Anyone with information about the crash or the vehicle was asked to contact Nashville Police.
