Crash alert: Lane closed in Smyrna after car hits pole

SMYRNA, TN – Drivers in Smyrna were advised to find alternate routes following a crash that disrupted traffic in the Rutherford County town early Monday morning.

According to WSMV, a telephone pole was struck in the rollover accident that occurred on North Lowry Street at Sam Hager Street at about 3 a.m.

The Smyrna Fire Department said North Lowry Street was restricted to one lane during repair work to replace the pole that was expected to take several hours to complete.

No details were released on whether anyone was injured in the crash.
