Crash alert: Man charged with DUI after crash in Franklin

FRANKLIN, TN – A man was arrested on charges including driving under the influence after a crash in Franklin early Friday morning.

The Franklin Police Department said they arrested 29-year-old Weston Barrett just after 2 a.m. Police found Barrett running away from the scene after a vehicle crashed in the 300 block of Lewisburg Pike.

He was placed under arrest when responding officers determined that he was impaired. Barrett is facing multiple charges, including DUI, evading arrest, and leaving the scene of a crash. He was freed on a $5,500 bond set by a magistrate and is due back in court November 11.
