by Ponce Law | September 8th, 2020

DICKSON COUNTY, TN – A motorcyclist was fatally struck by an SUV on a road in Dickson County early Saturday morning, according to News Channel 5.

The incident happened at about 3:45 a.m. on Highway 48 South. 55-year-old Tommy Wilson had been thrown from his motorcycle after hitting a deer and was lying in the road, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said.

A woman who was approaching the area driving a Toyota SUV did not see Wilson in the roadway at first, and the vehicle struck him as she was attempting to slow down, according to investigators.

The woman was not injured. No citations were issued in connection with the accident.
