The patrol SUV was hit at 4:32 p.m. as Corporal Chris Barth was tending to a crash and checking on people who were hurt. The accident happened just as Barth had gotten back into his vehicle. Neither the officer nor his K-9 Majlo were injured. Barth was wearing his seatbelt at the time, police said.
