Crash alert: SUV driver arrested after pedestrian struck in Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN – Police arrested the driver of an SUV after a pedestrian was struck and critically injured in Nashville Sunday night.

According to WSMV, authorities said 25-year-old Karson Tamas was behind the wheel of a Toyota RAV4 when she hit a man in the 1800 block of Division Street at about 8:45 p.m.

The victim, 29-year-old Brandon Mohle of Tacoma, Washington, was trying to cross the street when he was struck, police said. He was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Tamas, of Nashville, is charged with felony vehicular assault.

Police said Tamas showed signs of alcohol impairment, and a sample of her blood was taken to be analyzed for drug and alcohol content. She was released on a $10,000 bond.
