NASHVILLE, TN – According to Fox 17 Nashville, police identified a pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Nashville over the weekend.
The victim was 50-year-old Charles Bumpus of Nashville. The accident happened at about 1:40 a.m. Saturday as Bumpus was walking in the roadway on the 2400 block of Brick Church Pike.
Metro Police investigators said he was hit by a northbound vehicle driven by a 63-year-old woman. Bumpus passed away the following day at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The driver was not injured in the crash. She showed no signs of having been impaired at the time, police said.
