CROSSVILLE, TN – A man was hit by a vehicle and seriously injured while walking in Crossville Saturday night, according to a report in the Crossville Chronicle.
The incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. in the vicinity of West Avenue and Fourth Street. The pedestrian, 46-year-old Shamus McMahon, was reportedly walking his dog near the intersection when he was struck by a Dodge Caravan driving south on West Avenue and traveling with the green light.
McMahon was transported to The University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle, 60-year-old Dale Adams Rice, was not hurt in the incident. Authorities say no charges have been filed.
