Crash alert: Police identify pedestrian struck in Lake Tansi

LAKE TANSI, TN – Authorities identified the pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Lake Tansi Tuesday and have released new details about the incident, 1057 News reported.

This is an update to a previous story.

Police said 60-year-old Alice I. Brown was walking in the vicinity of Natchez Trace and Moccasin Lane when she was hit by a Chevy Silverado driven by 39-year-old William Markus Lewis of Crossville. Brown was thrown into a ditch and seriously injured. She was transported to University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Lewis told police he was looking down at the time of the accident and did not see Brown walking on the road.
