MT. JULIET, TN – Authorities say the driver of a stolen vehicle crashed in Mt. Juliet Wednesday and three people were arrested, according to News Channel 5.

Police had initially tried to stop the vehicle but said the driver took off. As officers gave chase, the driver went through the landscaping of a Holiday Inn near the Providence area before slamming into a utility pole.

The three people who were inside the vehicle ran away from the scene, police said. Two of them, a man and a woman, were apprehended a short time later, while another man was taken into custody in a culvert near a wooded area. The woman was injured in the accident and was treated at a hospital before being released.

Police said the car had been stolen out of Nashville and two guns were discovered inside. The three suspects were taken to the Wilson County Jail.
