Crash alert: Suspect apprehended after Wilson County crash

WILSON COUNTY, TN – Authorities say a suspect was apprehended after a crash in Wilson County Tuesday afternoon.

According to WTVF, the man fled the scene and ran into nearby woods after causing a crash on the 8500 block of Stewarts Ferry Pike in Mt. Juliet. The man, identified as Terry Mooningham, was tracked down just after 1:30 p.m. by a K-9 named Boscoe and his handler, Deputy Jake Smith.

The Wilson County Sheriff said authorities were able to get a good description of Mooningham and deployed the K-9 shortly after the crash occurred.
