Crash alert: Teenage driver crashes into Greenbrier creek

GREENBRIER, TN – Police and first responders were on the scene in Robertson County Wednesday after a car went off the road and into a creek.

Smokey Barn News reported a 17-year-old driver was behind the wheel when the incident happened at about 3 p.m. on Kelly Willis Road in the town of Greenbrier.

The driver had passed a curve when the vehicle left the road near a bridge and ended up in the creek. The teen was not seriously injured but will face charges of leaving the scene and due care, according to police.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
