Crash alert: Titans cheerleader dies of injuries suffered in I-40 crash

by Ponce Law | October 16th, 2020

NASHVILLE, TN – A Tennessee Titans cheerleader has passed away from injuries sustained in a car crash in early October, according to WSMV.

This is an update to a previous story.

24-year-old Patrick Holz died Friday morning at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  He had been critically injured in an accident just before midnight Oct. 3 on Interstate 40 eastbound at Exit 210C. Investigators said Holz was driving a Jeep Wrangler when his vehicle was struck from behind by a Ford Explorer.  The two cars skidded along a guardrail and Holz was ejected from the Jeep.

Police said the driver of the Ford Explorer apparently failed to yield the right of way. That driver suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
