Crash alert: Two separate crashes shut down lanes on I-40 west

WILSON COUNTY, TN – Two separate accidents caused traffic problems in Wilson County Wednesday night, WKRN reports.

Both occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 40.  Police responded to the first crash at mile marker 231 at about 7:45 p.m.  The other incident happened at Exit 232 shortly before 8 p.m.

The right lane was shut down on I-40 westbound while crews worked to clear the scene. Authorities were estimating the area would reopen by midnight.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.
