by Ponce Law | November 26th, 2020

NASHVILLE, TN – Family and friends gathered at a candlelight vigil to remember a woman and her daughter killed in a car crash in Nashville, according to a report by WKRN.

This is an update to a previous story.

La’Mara McClain and her mother Shonda Corlew died in the accident last Friday night on Interstate 24 east near Antioch Pike. A total of nine vehicles were involved in the wreck.

The vigil was held Wednesday night as loved ones gathered to remember the two victims and released balloons in their honor.  Another of Shonda Corlew’s daughters, Aysia, told a reporter, “It’s hard. It’s gotta be the hardest thing we’ve ever had to deal with.”

Metro Police said the crash was caused by a 17-year-old driver who was charged with driving without a license and not having insurance.
