Crash alert: Nashville woman arrested after children hit by car

NASHVILLE, TN – A Nashville woman is facing charges in connection with a crash that left one child dead and another injured.

According to WSMV, 28-year-old Ebony Robinson was arrested by police following the incident Sunday night at about 8 p.m. at the Overlook Ridge Apartments on Buena Vista Pike.

Police said Robinson was driving an Acura MDX in the parking lot at a high rate of speed when she struck two boys, 9-year-old Chrishon Montgomery and 7-year-old Cayden Doctor.

Chrishon was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt Medical Center, while Cayden was hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Investigators reported indications of alcohol use by Robinson. Among the charges against her are aggravated assault and resisting arrest. She was ordered held on a $203,000 bond.
