Crash alert: Woman hurt, child rescued after SUV accident

HICKMAN COUNTY, TN – A woman was rushed to a Nashville hospital after the SUV she was driving crashed in Hickman County Wednesday night.

WKRN reported the accident occurred on State Highway 230 east near Sanders Road. The 28-year-old driver was thrown from the vehicle and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition with multiple injuries.

The woman’s 2-year-old daughter escaped without injury. The report said a neighbor who heard the crash ran over to rescue the child, who was still in her car seat. The girl was taken to a hospital to be checked out.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the crash.
