Crash alert: Woman involved in Putnam County accident

PUTNAM COUNTY, TN – A woman is facing charges after her car crashed on a road in Putnam County on Tuesday, according to a report by 1057 News.

49-year-old Marie Stampfl of Crossville was driving on Burgess Falls Road when she swerved to miss a vehicle that stopped in front of her and went off the road, police said. Stampfl’s car ended up going across Meadow Wood Road and then slammed into a tree stump.

She was charged by troopers with failure to exercise due care and violation of the financial responsibility law.
