Crash alert: Wrong-way crash in Rutherford County kills both drivers

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN – A head-on collision in Rutherford County early Saturday morning claimed the lives of both drivers, according to WKRN.

The incident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 840 westbound near South Lowry Street. The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a Volkswagen Jetta was going east in the westbound lanes of the highway when it crashed into a Toyota Camry. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Jetta was identified as Kathleen Woodie of Ohio. The driver of the Camry was Keante Clemons of Alabama.  No further details were released on the circumstances that led to the accident.
