SPRINGFIELD, TN – Authorities say a young woman was killed in a weekend SUV crash in Robertson County, the Smokey Barn News reports.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the victim as 21-year-old Kaly Renee Wright of Ashland City, Tennessee.
The accident happened at about 9 p.m. Saturday, as Wright was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Highway 76 near Savage Creek Drive, between Springfield and Whitehouse.
Investigators said she was unable to negotiate a curve, which caused the SUV to go off the road and into an embankment. The vehicle then struck a mailbox and hit two trees. Wright was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said she was wearing a safety belt, and the accident report made no mention of drugs or alcohol use.
