Driver killed when vehicles collide head-on in Antioch

ANTIOCH, TN – Police say a driver died after his car collided head-on with another vehicle in Antioch.

According to WKRN, the crash happened in the area of Bell Road and Hickory Highlands Drive at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night. Metro police said 25-year-old Roimar Guilarte was driving a sedan at high speed on Bell Road when he was unable to negotiate a curve.

Guilarte’s vehicle crashed into an oncoming SUV and Guilarte was pronounced dead at the scene, investigators said. The driver of the SUV, age 40, sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
