NASHVILLE, TN – According to The Tennesseean, a fatal single-vehicle crash on Old Hickory Boulevard Wednesday is under investigation by Nashville Metro police.
Authorities say 33-year-old Phillip Gibbs of Greenbrier was traveling westbound on the 3600 block of Old Hickory Blvd in a 2007 Honda Accord when the vehicle exited the roadway and crashed into an electrical pole.
As of Thursday, police were still investigating what caused the car to leave the roadway.
Greenbrier was taken to Skyline Medical Center for treatment of his injuries but later died in the hospital.
