News: Motorist airlifted to Vanderbilt Trauma Center after crash in Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, TN – WGNS Radio reports that a motorist was airlifted to Vanderbilt Trauma Center after crashing their car into a tree off of Danny Green Road near Murfreesboro on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say the single-vehicle accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. and involved a dark gray Chevy Camaro.

Emergency responders freed the individual from the vehicle and transported them by helicopter to Vanderbilt Trauma Center.

Tennessee Highway Patrol, Rutherford Count Emergency Medical Services, Rutherford County Fire Rescue, Rutherford County Sheriff, Coffee County EMS, Coffee County Sheriff, North Coffee Volunteer Fire, and Kittrell Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the scene of the accident.

At this time, the cause of the crash is unclear.
