News: Pigeon Forge man charged in suspected DUI crash

PIGEON FORGE, TN – A man from Pigeon Forge is facing a number of charges in connection to a suspected DUI crash that took place last Wednesday.

According to WATE, 31-year-old Jason R. King was under the influence when he failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle at the intersection of North Rogers Road and Boyd’s Creek Highway.

King’s 2009 Nissan collided with a 2008 Honda Pilot within the intersection. King and his passenger were both seriously injured as a result of the crash. The 17-year-old driver in the Honda sustained minor injuries.

After investigating the incident, authorities filed a number of charges against both King and his passenger including vehicular assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
