MAYNARDVILLE, TN – Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol have identified the victims in a fatal DUI collision in Maynardville last Tuesday.
According to WATE, the accident occurred along the freeway in the Halls Crossroads area.
Investigators believe the vehicle driven by 76-year-old Carey Lawler was traveling south in the turn lane when his vehicle was struck head-on by another.
Both Carey Lawler and his wife, Mary Lawler, 75, were killed as a result of the crash. The man responsible, 47-year-old Steven Perry, was arrested and charged with DUI following the crash.
