News: Witnesses pull driver from fiery car accident

NASHVILLE, TN – Bystanders to a fiery crash jumped into action, pulling the injured driver from his vehicle early Tuesday morning.

According to WKRN, the accident took place at about 6:20 a.m. along Jefferson Street near the I-40 overpass.

Witnesses say the truck appeared to have malfunctioned before the driver crashed into a supporting column. They worked to free the trapped driver from his vehicle before any serious injuries were sustained.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Fortunately, no one else was hurt in the crash.
