Head-On Collision Caused by Alleged Drunk Driver

The TN drunk driving accident took place on May 16, at about 7:10 a.m., when a 1998 Chevy truck traveling north on Highway 48/13 crossed the center line and drifted into the southbound lane, striking a 2006 Chevy Malibu near Ball Road. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the driver of the Malibu, 17-year-old Kylie Eastin of Montgomery Central High School, tried to avoid the oncoming vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Roni Proctor, but was unable to and was hit head-on by the truck. In the aftermath of the collision, both Eastin and her passenger, 15-year-old Ashley Travis, were airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, where they were treated for their DUI accident injuries. Proctor was transported by EMS to Gateway Medical Center following the collision.
