KNOXVILLE, TN – Two motorists were hospitalized following a collision in the parking lot of a West Knoxville Cracker Barrel last Wednesday, reports WVLT.
According to police, the accident occurred around 6:40 a.m. when the male driver of a pickup truck suffered from a medical event that caused him to accelerate and crash into a camper parked at the restaurant at 9214 Park West Boulevard. The camper then caught fire.
Fortunately, both passengers in the burning camper escaped, however, one was taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center for a non-serious laceration.
The pickup truck driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was also transported to University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
