NASHVILLE, TN – The victim of a fatal single-vehicle accident on the Interstate 65 north entry ramp from Interstate 440 west on Christmas eve has been identified by officials, reports Patch.
The Medical Examiner’s Office say the driver killed is 49-year-old Matthew Simoneau of Nashville.
The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. last Thursday, December 24th, when a Honda Civic driven by Simoneau exited the roadway and crashed into a ravine off the interchange from I-440 to I-65. The civic then slammed into multiple trees and caught on fire.
Simoneau was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, it is unclear what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. We will update this blog if more details are made public.
