NASHVILLE, TN – Metro Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that took place in Nashville Friday night, WKRN reported.
The victim was identified as 37-year-old Darrell Clark of Pegram, Tennessee. The crash occurred at 8:30 p.m. on Old Hickory Boulevard. Investigators determined that Clark was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle and crashed into the side of a Honda minivan as it was turning onto the entrance ramp from Old Hickory Boulevard to Interstate 40 East. Clark was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police believe Clark was speeding at the time of the incident and said that the driver of the Honda, 63-year-old Robert Rucker of Nashville, failed to yield the right of way. Rucker sustained minor injuries.
