Crash alert: Rider injured when motorcycle goes out of control in Cumberland County

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN – A man was hospitalized after his motorcycle went out of control and crashed in Cumberland County Friday night, according to 1057 News.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene on Bear Creek Road shortly after 7 p.m. State troopers said 46-year-old Michael Hammons was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve, slid down the roadway, and struck a fence and a pole.

Hammons, of Crossville, was transported to Cumberland Medical Center.  No information was immediately released on the extent of his injuries.

Authorities say charges may be pending in the case.
