Wynde Sloan

One of her favorite books is The War I Finally Won. She encouraged my daughter to read it, and it changed my daughter. She became more resilient by reading about a character overcoming significant hardships. She became aware of her many blessings by seeing the character’s hardship. And, it was the book that made her become an avid reader. It improved her and my relationship as she read about the bad mother in the book and could see the differences in what I do. Mrs. Sloan has also gone above and beyond for each module of ELA and is always branching out in math and science to help keep students engaged. before teaching at MHMS, she taught special needs. She’s patient, kind, firm, and thorough. Sadly, she’s retiring this year. She’s an amazing teacher, and I’m so glad my daughter had her. This year has been life-changing in a positive way, which was much needed.
