SPRINGFIELD, TN – A pedestrian sustained critical injuries when she was struck by a semi-truck in Robertson County Sunday.
The Smokey Barn News reports the victim, estimated to be in her 40s, was hit on Tom Austin Highway in Springfield just after 1 p.m. by a tractor-trailer carrying milk.
She was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, where she was listed in critical condition.
Robertson County EMS responded to the scene along the Springfield police and fire departments. The circumstances that led to the accident were not yet clear.
