Crash alert: Pedestrian struck and killed by motorcycle in Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN – A pedestrian walking in Nashville Friday night was struck and killed by a motorcycle, the Tennessean reports.

The incident happened on Myatt Drive, where police say a man riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound struck the pedestrian at the crosswalk.

The victim, identified as Randy Shatto Jr. of Nashville, was pronounced dead later at Skyline Medical Center.

The motorcycle rider, 64-year-old Richard Tipton of Nashville, suffered injuries that were not regarded as life-threatening. There were no signs that either man was impaired at the time of the accident, Metro Police said.
