NASHVILLE, TN – Fox 17 reported a fatal pedestrian accident on Interstate 24 west near the Haywood Lane intersection (mile marker 56.8) on Wednesday night.
According to officials, the pedestrian was struck by a car in the westbound lanes of I-24 around 8 p.m. and died in the collision.
Following the crash, authorities closed the right two lanes of I-24 west as well as the on-ramp at Harding Place. It is unclear when the roadway was reopened.
