KNOXVILLE, TN – Authorities say a man was killed when his motorcycle crashed in Knoxville early Friday morning, WATE reports.
The accident occurred in the area of Blackstock Avenue and Hannah Avenue at about 12:15 a.m. Investigators determined that the motorcycle rider was going at a high rate of speed on Blackstock Avenue when he lost control and rode off the roadway.
The motorcycle ended up in a parking lot and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.

MARION COUNTY, TN – A motorcycle rider died after being involved in a crash on Interstate 24 last Friday night. According to WTVC, the victim was identified as 45-year-old Andrew M. Gill of Saint Augustine, Florida.
The accident happened on I-24 west near mile marker 165 in Marion County shortly before midnight. Investigators with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said Gill was trying to avoid another vehicle that was changing lanes when he hit a cable barrier on a median.
Gill was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on a shoulder of the highway. He was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries.

KNOXVILLE, TN – Two people are dead after being involved in a motorcycle collision on U.S. Highway 25 Thursday afternoon.
According to WVLT, the crash occurred when 29-year-old motorcyclist Zachary Johnson pulled out in front of a vehicle that was turning onto East Wolf Valley Road.
Both Johnson and his passenger, 31-year-old Stephanie Whitaker, were ejected from the motorcycle. Paramedics pronounced them dead at the scene of the crash.
No other injuries were reported as an immediate result of the crash.
