NASHVILLE, T.N. – A man was tragically killed after his vehicle drove off of Whites Creek Pike on Thursday morning, WKRN reports.

Authorities say 26-year-old Gregore Raybon, Jr. began swerving near Whites Creek Pike and then traveled down a 15-feet embankment into a creek bed down below. He was killed upon impact.

A witness reports that Raybon fell asleep at the wheel at the stop sign at Briley Parkway before the crash. After the witness knocked on his window, Raybon woke up and drove away.

Police are awaiting the results of a toxicology report to determine if drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident.
