NASHVILLE, TN – Authorities have released the identity of a driver killed in a collision in Bellevue early Friday morning, according to wsmv.com.

This is an update to a previous story.

The crash was reported at 12:11 a.m. on Highway 100 and Temple Road.  The victim was identified by Metro Nashville Police as 20-year-old Anna Miller of Franklin.

According to investigators, she was driving a Honda Accord south on Temple Road when she reportedly stopped in the intersection for a flashing red light. At that point, her vehicle was struck by a Mercedes sedan which had a flashing yellow light, police said.

Miller was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt Medical Center. The driver of the Mercedes and his passenger were not seriously injured.  Police will conduct toxicology testing on the Mercedes driver, but the initial investigation showed “no evidence of alcohol involvement”.

Authorities said that Miller’s failure to yield the right of way was considered a preliminary contributing factor in the accident.
